The Ecuadorian Amazon
We returned yesterday morning from Peru - I wanted to thank you for a wonderful and very well executed trip. Everything was simply perfect - you guys are really professional!
We liked very much the attention to details - for example that we were met at Lima even though all we had to do was cross the street to the airport hotel.
Rudy was an excellent guide - the two days at the sacred valley was excellent. The bicycle tour was very good as well (eventually we split Men and Women - the Men took the bicycle trip).
Inka Trail was excellent. The guides, porters, logistics, chef, were all first rate.

An Andean Adventure
The Amazon spreads over eight countries in South America and Ecuador is one of the best places to visit the jungle. The Cuyabano reserve encompasses 6,000 square kilometers of the rainforest and holds a great diversity of plant and animal life. Among the many types of wildlife you can see are dolphins, crocodiles, anacondas, butterflies, tapirs, capybaras, 15 species of monkeys and more than 500 of birds.
While the wildlife found here is a great draw, the Ecuadorian Amazon is also one of the best parts of this rainforest to encounter indigenous tribes maintaining their traditional way of life. Some of these tribes have developed ways to work with tourists, generating important revenue while allowing them to continue living according to their customs.
The jungle can be visited by river cruise or by staying at an eco lodge.
