We are safe at home after a great trip with Kuoda. Your staff truly exceeded expectations and we would certainly travel with your agency again. I had asked for a birding expert in the jungle and William certainly was up to the task. We also appreciated your involvement in supporting and setting up visits with the weavers and the lunch in a private home. We also we appreciated that changes to our agenda such as visiting the ship Yavill (sp?) in Lake Titicaca were accommodated. Overall our trip was well planned and comfortable. We saw a great variety of wonderful sites and were very happy with our vacation.
Sincerely from your devoted clients,

From the Amazon to the Andes
Referred to as the Athens of Ecuador, Cuenca is the 3rd largest in the country and arguably the most charming. You'll feel like you've gone back to colonial days with the window flower boxes, balconies made from wrought-iron, streets of cobblestone, roofs with red tiles and, of course, the lively marketplace. Churches are ubiquitous here and the city is said to have 52 of them with La Imaculada being the finest of them.
The city was also important in the Inca empire and you will find some remnants of that civilization in the area as well. It is a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site and you will find many examples of indigenous arts and crafts. For those more interested in Ecuador adventure, just outside the city lies the Cajas National Park, offering 70,000 acres of varied landscapes to play in including cloud forest, peaks and more than 200 lakes.
