Sunday – All on Board! (L, D)

In the morning you will be transferred to the docks to board the ship, which was built in the classic 19th Century style. You will have first class accommodations for the next seven days. Once boarded, we will weigh anchor to start an incredible navigational experience

Monday – All the Pink Dolphins (B, L, D)
Amazon Cruise
As we float on the biggest river in the world we will see fishermen paddling canoes made of hollow tree trunks; or children along the river bank greeting us. A wide variety of birds can be spotted in the trees. We will cruise down the left branch of the Ucayali River where gray and pink dolphins are frequently seen

Tuesday – Searching for Fauna (B, L, D)
Amazon Cruise
After a picnic breakfast, we’ll explore tributary streams of black water, in separate skiffs, in search of wildlife; which may include primates, sloths, iguanas, toucans and other exotic birds. We may observe pink and gray dolphins. Afterwards, you can fish for piranhas and catfish in a nearby stream. After dinner, search for nocturnal animals

Wednesday – The Diversity of the Sapote River (B, L, D)

We will awaken at the Sapote River. It is a place of abundant biodiversity and you will have the chance to see a variety of birds and animals including: egrets, macaws, groups of capuchin and playful squirrel monkeys. Later, hike through the jungle and visit the majestic Ceiba Kapok Tree, the king of the forest

Thursday – A Mystical Ceremony (B, L, D)

In the morning, visit a nearby riverbank village where you can bargain with local residents who sell crafts made from natural forest materials. After lunch, board the excursion launches in search of gigantic aquatic plants called “Victoria Regia.”
Later, meet a Jíbaro-Ashual Shaman, who will explain the use of his medicinal plants and perform a health and good luck ceremony for us

Friday – Enchanted Waters (B, L, D)
Amazon Cruise
Early morning walk to a hanging bridge, where we may catch a glimpse of the animal life that inhabits the upper reaches of the jungle. We show our respect to the Rain Forest by planting a tree in a spiritual ceremony. Later, paddle native canoes in an enchanted lake where all sorts of fishes and water creatures live.
Afternoon: return trip to Iquitos

Saturday - Return to Iquitos (B)

After breakfast our voyage comes to an end, as we arrive back in Iquitos. We leave the ship for a tour of this very unique and interesting city and visit an arts and crafts market on our way to the airport
