Peru Family Adventure (19d/18n): Sumarized Itinerary
Welcome to Lima, Peru
When your international flight arrives in Lima you will be met and assisted by our English-speaking representative. From there our representative will accompany you to your hotel.
Boats and Sea Lions (B, L): Lima – Callao
You will be taken to the port of Callao, where you will take a cruiser to the Palomino Islands, where you can swim right up close with sea lions.

Flight Lima – Puerto Maldonado / Tambopata (B, L, D)Overnight: Posada Amazonas Lodge
Tambopata (B, L, D) Sachavacayoc Oxbow Lake / Tambopata National Reserve / Fishing at Quebrada Gato
After breakfast, hike to the Sachavacayoc Lake to look for giant river otters and other wildlife such as caiman, hoatzin and horned screamers. After Lunch, visit Don Manuel’s farm. At night, search for animals by flashlight

Tambopata (B, L, D)
Early morning, visit a Parrot clay lick, where dozens of parrots and parakeets descend to ingest the clay on a river bank. Take a Ceiba Trail Hike, and after lunch, visit a Farm.

Flight Puerto Maldonado-Cusco/Transfer to Sacred Valley (B)
In the morning, boat to the Tambopata River Port and to Puerto Maldonado. Transfer to the airport for your flight Puerto Maldonado–Cusco. Pick-up and transfer to your hotel in the Sacred Valley. Overnight: Hotel in the Sacred Valley
Rafting in the Sacred Valley of the Inkas/Cooking Class (B, L)In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel and taken to start your rafting adventure. After about 2.5 hours of rafting you’ll return to your hotel. Make your own pizza night!

Free day in Sacred Valley (B) Optional activities: (half day) Horseback Tour in the Sacred Valley
Optional 2.5 hour horse tour on Peruvian Paso Horses, known for their unique lateral gait and calm, even temper

Spend half a day in an authentic village in the Sacred Valley, and participate in local customs.

Inca Trail: Piskakucho (Km. 82) – Wayllabamba (B, L, D)
First Day Inka Trail: Hike from Km. 82 down the Urubamba Canyon, visit Llaqtapata on the banks of the Cusichaca side river; Climb to Wayllabamba, where you will set up camp. Overnight: Camping
Inca Trail: Wayllabamba – Pakasmayu (B, L, D)
Second Day Inka Trail: Climb the Llullucha, cross the Andean puna, and ascend to the highest pass, Dead Woman’s Pass (4,200m/13,776ft). Camp on the floor of the forested Pakasmayu Valley. Overnight: Camping
Inca Trail: Pakasmayu - Wiñaywayna (B, L, D)
Third Day Inka Trail: Ascend past the small Inca site of Runkuracay. Reach second pass, and descend to Sayacmarca. At the third pass, gain an overview of Phuyupatamarca ruin. Later, camp by the ruins of Wiñay Wayna (Forever Young)

Inca Trail: Wiñaywayna - Machupicchu (B, L)
Fourth Day Inka Trail: Cross the stone threshold of Intipunku (Sun Gate) and encounter the unforgettable panorama of the magical city of Machupicchu. Guided tour. Later, participate in hotel activities for children.

Machupicchu – Ollantaytambo Train Journey / Ollantaytambo Fortress / Pisac Market / Transfer to Cusco (B, L)
In the morning, board the train to return to Ollantaytambo (Vistadome Service-First Class) (1.5 hours) where you will be met by our representative. Visit Ollantaytambo ruins and village; play with guinea pigs. After lunch, visit Pisac Market.

City tour of Cusco (B)
In the afternoon private tour of Cusco and its surrounding ruins, including Sacsayhuaman and Qenqo. Afterwards, visit the Cathedral of Cusco and Koricancha, with some of the best Inka stonework in the city.

Bus Cusco - Puno (B, L)
After breakfast, you will continue your adventure to the Sierras of Peru by bus. On the way you will visit the following The Church of Andahuaylillas, Raqchi, Sicuani, La Raya, and Pukara.

Private Cultural Tour/Uros Islands/the Island of Taquile (B, L)Today take a group boat tour to the Floating Islands of Uros, home of the ancient inhabitants of Lake Titicaca. Afterwards, visit Taquile Island. Return by boat to Puno. Later, enjoy dinner on board the Coya ship

Kayaking on Lake Titicaca (B, L)
Leaving from Llachon, go kayaking along the shoreline to reach the point of the Capa Chica Peninsula, with underwater views of rocks, algae and miniature marine life. Typical lunch.

Flight Juliaca – Lima (B)
We will transfer to the airport of Juliaca, with a visit en route to the Chullpas (Burial Structures) of Sillustani.
