Islands, Magic &Mummies(18d/17n): Summarized Itinerary

Welcome to Peru: Lima
When your international flight arrives in Lima you will be met and assisted by our English-speaking representative. From there our representative will accompany you to your hotel.
Overnight: Hotel in Lima.

Enchantment of the White City: Lima – Arequipa (B)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Arequipa. Transfer to hotel.
After lunch, tour Arequipa: you’ll visit the Andean Sanctuary Museum, (see the Juanita mummy) and the Convent of Santa Catalina.
Overnight: Hotel in Arequipa

Countryside Biking Tour in Arequipa (half day) (B)
This is a fabulous way to see Arequipa. You and your family will have a guided bike tour around the countryside surrounding the “White City” and visit Arequipa’s best tourist attractions

Exploring the Colca Canyon: Arequipa – Colca (B)
In the morning you will head out of Arequipa on your way to the small town of Chivay. En route, you will be passing by breathtaking landscapes and making several stops. See alpacas, llamas, and vicuñas.

The Flight of the Condor: Colca Canyon (B)
After breakfast, head to the Colca Canyon  and appreciate the majestic flight of the Andean Condor. Later, visit some of the villages of the Colca Valley.
Return to your hotel with optional children’s activities.

Traveling to the Sacred Lake: Colca Canyon – Puno (B, L)
In the morning, travel by private car to Puno. On the way, see grazing vicuñas, alpacas, and llamas. Before arriving in Puno, visit Chullpas of Sillustani, the most important funerary site on the plain of Collao.

The Marvels of Lake Titicaca: Uros Islands/Amantani (B, L, D)
Today, take a boat tour to the Floating Islands of Uros, home of the ancient inhabitants of Lake Titicaca. Later on, visit Amantani Island, where you’ll be spending the night.

A Taste of Taquile (B, L): Taquile Island
In the morning, visit the Island of Taquile, whose inhabitants are known for their friendliness and for their weavings. Enjoy a typical lunch prepared by the residents of Taquile. Return by boat to Puno.

Train Voyage: Puno – Cusco (B, L)
You’ll take a train journey from Puno to Cusco (Luxuy Train Andean Explorer). Along the way, you’ll be able to observe the gorgeous landscapes of the high plains of the Puneño and the sierras of Cusco

Exploring the Navel of the World: Cusco (B)
In the morning, take a private tour of Cusco and its nearby ruins, visiting Sacsayhuaman, Qengo, the Cusco Cathedral, and Koricancha, with some of the best Inka stonework in the city. Overnight: Hotel in Cusco

Morning 2.5 hour tour on Peruvian Paso Horses, known for their smooth gait and calm, even temper.. Make your own pizza night!

Ollantaytambo Fortress / Train Ollantaytambo – Machupicchu (B, L)
Visit Ollantaytambo, a Sacred Valley village that conserves the original Inca designs of old. Play with guinea pigs in an ancient Inka home.
In the afternoon, transfer to the Ollantaytambo train station for 1.5 hour journey to Machupicchu. In Machupicchu, transfer to your hotel

In the morning, return to Ollantaytambo (1.5 hours). Meet and assist. 
Lunch at 3 Keros Gourmet Restaurant
Visit Pisac Market, where you can purchase handmade items directly from the artist that created them. Visit the Awanakancha (Living Museum)

Flight Cusco – Lima (B)
Transfer from your hotel to the Cusco airport, for your flight Cusco-Lima (one hour). In Lima, our representative will meet you in the airport and transfer you and your family to your hotel.
Afternoon free in Lima

Return to Lima
At the appropriate hour you will be taken to the airport and assisted as you board your international flight
